How the buttons work
Outbound “see this product” buttons use a real partner URL when one is set — from src/content/affiliates.ts or NEXT_PUBLIC_AFF_* environment variables. Until then they go to the vendor’s official site. Affiliate buttons include rel="sponsored nofollow". We do not invent Impact, Awin, Amazon, or brand IDs.
What money cannot buy
- A position in a category ranking table
- Removal of a skip-if, con, or caveat
- A score
- A disease claim
Sponsored placements, if we ever accept them, will be labeled. They will not land on a ranking table as a “best of.”
FTC-style plain talk
This site contains affiliate relationships, or will as soon as a partner ID exists. We have a material connection to some vendors because we may be compensated. We still recommend skipping products that are a bad fit — that is the whole editorial idea. Methodology: how we rank.
