Stack

An athlete recovery stack for home (2026)

If you already train hard, recovery gear is either supporting the next session or getting in its way. Cold after hypertrophy, heat as a separate session, light as a maybe. No peptides. No “overtraining cure.”

Recoveracent is an affiliate publication. Some outbound product buttons may earn us a commission if a real partner URL is configured. Until then they go to the brand’s official site. We do not invent network IDs. Rankings are not for sale. Full disclosure.

Athletes over-buy because pain is loud and Amazon is faster than sleep. The stack is still boring: load management, protein, bedtime, then one thermal tool that does not fight the adaptation you wanted this mesocycle.

Cold

Useful for feeling ready for another session, travel, or heat-soaked training blocks. Debated immediately after hypertrophy. If muscle size is the goal, park the plunge away from that lift. Start rails: how to start. Hardware: plunges.

Heat

A cabin or a gym traditional sauna is a separate session, not a prize for surviving squats. Heat plus dehydration plus another practice is how people bonk. IR vs traditional.

Light

A panel is optional. It does not replace a PT. Dose literacy or skip. Panels.

Compression and percussion (secondary)

Boots and pistols are cheaper than plunges and easier to quit. Fine as a travel kit. We are not building a 40-SKU dump of massage guns in v1. If the job is “I sit on a plane,” boots often beat a $10,000 Stoic.

Out of scope

Peptides, “secretagogues,” IV lounges, and pharmacy adjacent products. Sister-site split: this is gear. If a vendor mixes a panel with a vial, we still only review the panel — and we side-eye the vial.
